New Jersey CCW Permit Course

This class provides the required training to apply for a permit to carry a handgun in New Jersey. The course fee is $200.00 plus tax.

  • What You'll Learn Our curriculum covers firearm safety, types of firearms, and storage rules. You'll also learn about situational awareness, confrontation avoidance, and the legal aspects of using deadly force in New Jersey. The class includes a live-fire session where you will fire a minimum of 50 rounds and need to achieve an 80% score.
  • What to Bring You must bring a valid ID and be at least 21 years old. You will need a strong-side holster, a belt, and eye and ear protection. You must bring your own firearm and a minimum of 50 rounds of fresh factory ammunition. No firearms or live ammo are permitted in the classroom.

Private Firearms Training

Beginners are allowed to schedule a one-on-one session with a certified instructor. This is a great way to improve your marksmanship or prepare for CCW qualification.

  • Details & Pricing Private instruction is available with NJSP-certified instructors John Cassidy, Stephen Heaney, or Craig Bard. The cost is $100 per hour with a minimum two-hour time slot.
